in the San Francisco/Oakland/Berkeley area
initiated a project asking the Cubans what poster they wanted reproduced as a solidarity gesture.
The Cubans selected World Solidarity With Cuba, originally printed in 1980.
Fireworks approached Inkwork to reprint this poster. Inkworks printed about 1,000 copies. Then, of course, the hassle was getting them down to Cuba. Multiple batches were hand carried down by activists over the next year. The Cubans sold them. When CSPG received the Fireworks archive in 1993, we received the copies we are currently selling.
