This exhibition honors and celebrates contemporary women from Africa and the
American diaspora. Our Sisters' Voices shows women as they confront war and oppression, racism and poverty. The posters show women as warriors, teachers, activists, poets, workers, and mothers. Some graphics honor individuals, such as Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Angela Davis, while others commemorate the many anonymous participants in the ongoing struggle for peace and justice.
